Hello! I’m April! I’m a wife, a mother and a big-hearted Texan.
This blog is a place to share honestly about life: the good, the bad and the ugly.
I’ve got a sweet husband who has a soft spot for baby cuddles and a 13-year-old boy’s sense of humor (which is often reminds me is what made me fall in love with him. Was it? I must have forgotten).
I’ve got two very special tiny humans with a knack for getting under my skin and melting my heart simultaneously. Other skills include getting themselves stuck in precarious physical situations, emptying the contents of my purse in under five seconds flat, and surviving solely on carbohydrates, and accessorizing my daily wardrobe in a complicate cocktail of mysterious substances. Animal, vegetable or mineral? Who knows?
Obviously I don’t have enough to do with two small children, so in my vast free time I write, read, cook, garden, joke about sticking to a housekeeping routine, work on tackling our debt and saving money, homeschool our kids (starting this fall), and dream about our future sheep farm.
Oh, and yes, our house is yellow.
